Call Manager does not log the name of the person you are calling in Call History under the following circumstances:

When You Use the Speaker Phone

  • When you type the number in the Dial box and then click Dial to place a call.

  • When you click the Speaker button and dial the number using the keypad.

When You Use the Handset

  • When you use the numeric keypad on the handset to dial a number.

  • When you use the Callback feature when you listen to messages to return a call.

When You Use Another Telephone on the Same Line

  • When you use another telephone to place a call on the same line.


Call Manager does log the name of the person you are calling in Call History under the following circumstances:

When You Use the Speaker Phone

  • When you type a name in the Name box, click Verify Name, and then click Dial to place a call.

  • When you place a call using an Address Book entry.

  • When you use the Callback feature from the Messages page to return a call.

When You Use the Handset

  • When you use the Speed Dial feature.

  • When you use a voice command to place a call.
