MSPS: Insufficient Disk Space to Install Call Manager (208703)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Cordless Phone System 1.0

This article was previously published under Q208703

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install Microsoft Call Manager, you may receive an error message stating that insufficient disk space is available to install Call Manager even though sufficient disk space is available on the hard disk to which you are installing Call Manager.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if less than 55 megabytes (MB) of disk space is available on the hard disk on which Microsoft Windows is installed.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occurring, make sure at least 55 MB of disk space is available on the hard disk on which Windows is installed.

NOTE: In addition to the 55 MB of disk space used by Call Manager, Microsoft recommends you maintain at least 50 MB of available space on the hard disk on which Windows is installed. This disk space is needed by the Windows swap file but may also be used by other programs.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft Cordless Phone System version1.0.
