Works: Arial Font Not Listed in Fonts Box and Ruler Is Not Displayed Correctly (208187)

SYMPTOMS

After you download and install the Microsoft Works Year 2000 patch, you may encounter any of the following symptoms:

  • The Arial font may not be listed in the Font box in Works.

  • The ruler at the top of the word processor screen may not be displayed correctly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Fonts.
  3. Drag the Arial font file from the Fonts window to the Windows desktop.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Drag the Arial font file from the Windows desktop to the Fonts window.
