Windows Explorer /N Switch Does Not Open a New Window (208114)

SYMPTOMS

When you type the command "EXPLORER /N" at a command prompt, a new Windows Explorer window is not opened.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, type the following command at a command prompt to open a new Windows Explorer window:

explorer /e

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
