SYMPTOMS

When you uninstall and then reinstall Windows CD Player, the program may be displayed in the following two folders:

Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment
Start/Programs/Accessories/Multimedia

Windows CD Player is displayed in two places because you are past the point of first boot, where the Mm2ent.exe file runs. After the Multimedia folder is created, if you attempt to uninstall Windows CD Player the Multimedia folder is still displayed. When you attempt to run Windows CD Player, you may receive the following error message:
The item Cdplayer.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved. The nearest match, based on size, date, and type is <drive letter>:\<windir>\cdplayer.exe. Do you want this shortcut to point to this item?
