Red 'Space Freed Up' Line Does Not Refresh on Windows Setup Tab (208092)

SYMPTOMS

In the Add/Remove Programs tool, the red Space freed up line may be displayed on the Windows Setup tab, even though you have not removed any components.

CAUSE

This issue can occur when you click a component on the Windows Setup tab, click Details, clear a check box, and then click Cancel.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, close the Add/Remove Programs tool.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
