Uncollate Setting Ignored When You Print a Document (207695)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft Windows 95
This article was previously published under Q207695 SYMPTOMS
When you print a document from your Windows 95-based or Windows 98-based computer, the Collate check box may be selected even if you have previously clicked the Uncollate option in Microsoft Windows Printing System (WPS) properties. Note that this option is only available if you installed WPS or upgraded a previous version of Windows that had WPS installed on it.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because the default setting in Windows 95 and Windows 98 is collate, and this default action takes precedence over the WPS setting.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, click to clear the Collate check box before clicking OK to begin the print job.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
