SYMPTOMS

When you start a program or when a program is started by using OLE, your keyboard may revert to the default language regardless of the language you are currently using.

When you start a program, the language icon on the taskbar changes, indicating that the default language is being used. When a program is started by using OLE, the language icon may not change.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, change the keyboard driver to the appropriate language after you start the program. To do so, use one of the following methods:
  • Click the language icon on the taskbar, and then click the language that you want.
  • Press the appropriate shortcut key combination for switching keyboard layouts. By default, this is LEFT ARROW+ALT+SHIFT.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
