Images Lost After Saving Word 97 File in Pocket Word Format (201796)

When you use Microsoft Word 97 to save a document with an embedded image as a Microsoft Pocket Word (.pwd) document, the image may be missing when you reopen the document in Word 97 or Pocket Word. Document text remains intact.
CAUSE
When you save the document in Pocket Word format, the image is defined as a Drawing Object image. This type of image is not supported by the RichEdit control included with Windows CE Services.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows CE Services version 2.2. MORE INFORMATION
Drawing Object images are normally used for line drawings.
