XL98: ColumnHeads Property Does Not Work (201792)

SYMPTOMS

When you set the ColumnHeads property to True, for either a ListBox or a ComboBox, the column heading(s) in these controls are not displayed when you show your user form.

CAUSE

Excel 98 Macintosh Edition is not designed to use the ColumnHeads property.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The main reason the ColumnHeads property does not work is that the RowSource property is not supported in Excel 98.

For more information about the Properties window, follow these steps:
  1. In the Visual Basic Editor, click Contents and Index on the Help menu. If you are using a version of the Macintosh operating system that is earlier than 8.0, click Contents and Index on the Balloon Help menu.
  2. In Visual Basic for Applications Help, click Index, and then type the following text:

  3. Click Show Topics. Click the Properties window topic, and then click Go To.
If you cannot find the information that you want, ask the Office Assistant.


Although Visual Basic for Applications Help has information available for the ColumnHeads property, this property does not function as stated in Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
