Services for Macintosh: Enabling Guest Account After Domain Controller Upgrade (201672)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
This article was previously published under Q201672 SUMMARY
By default, the Guest account is disabled on Windows 2000 servers. If you upgrade to Windows 2000 from an earlier version of Windows in which you allowed the Guest account access to Macintosh volumes, you need to enable the Guest account after the upgrade.
In Windows 2000, the domain or local Guest account is merged with the Guest account for Macintosh users.
