Password Box Still Contains Your Password (201437)

SYMPTOMS

If you navigate to the HotMail Web site, enter your username and password, click Submit and then click Back, the password box may still contain your password.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if Internet Explorer 4.01 did not reset the password box.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.5 for Macintosh:

  1. Navigate to the following Microsoft Web site:

    http://www.microsoft.com
  2. Click Free Downloads, and then follow the instructions on the screen to locate and download Internet Explorer version 4.5 for Macintosh.
