WD97: Tabs May Be Removed Running Spelling and Grammar Check (201169)

When you change the spelling of a word within the Spelling and Grammar dialog box (in the Not in Dictionary box) and then click Change, tabs at the beginning of the sentence that contains the misspelling are removed.
NOTE: To check the spelling of your document, click Spelling and Grammar on the Tools menu.
WORKAROUND
Make the correction to the misspelling using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Use Suggestions- On the Tools menu, click Spelling and Grammar.
- In the Spelling and Grammar dialog box, click to select the correct spelling of the misspelled word in the Suggestions box.
- Click Change.
Method 2: Use the Shortcut Menu
After Word flags a misspelled word with the wavy red underline, right-click the misspelled word. On the shortcut menu that appears, click to select the correct spelling of your word.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 2000.
