SUMMARY

When you click a URL from a mail message for the first time, you may receive the following prompt:

   Locate Link Browser
				

MORE INFORMATION

You will be prompted to select the EXE file for the browser you want to use, if the default browser has not already been set, or if the following files are not present on your computer:

   Url.dll
   Shlwapi.dll
				
Please note that these files are present if you have Internet Explorer 4.0 installed or if you are using Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release version 2.0. For example, if you have the following configuration, you will be prompted to "Locate Link Browser" the first time you click a URL from a mail message:

  • Windows 95 Retail
  • Netscape
  • Exchange Client/Outlook


After you select the browser you want to use, the correct settings are made to the registry from the "Locate Link Browser" prompt and you will not be prompted to select a browser again.
