OFF2000: Presentations Don't Fill Entire Screen in Binder (200518)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office Binder 2000
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2000

This article was previously published under Q200518

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Slide Show in Microsoft Binder to display a PowerPoint presentation, the slide occupies the space in the Binder window, but it does not occupy the full screen. The menu bar and the program title screen are visible.

CAUSE

Programs in Microsoft Binder that use the full screen (for example, when you click Full Screen) affect only the active window and not the entire program window.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Switch to Full Screen Mode

Switch to full screen mode after you start the presentation. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Slide Show menu in Microsoft Binder, click View Show.
  2. After Binder starts the presentation, right-click the first slide, and then click Full Screen (or click Full Screen on the Browse menu). This step displays the presentation using the full screen. To end the slide show, right-click, and click End Show.

Method 2: View Outside Binder

View the presentation outside of Microsoft Binder. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Section menu, click View Outside. This step opens the presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. On the Slide Show menu in PowerPoint, click View Show. This step displays the presentation using the full screen.
