You Are Prompted to Insert Disk After Clicking Browse in Run Dialog Box (200510)

When you click Start, click Run, and then click Browse, you may receive the following error message:
Please insert a disk into drive A:.
While this error message is displayed, the floppy disk drive is active. You must click Cancel before you can browse for a file to run.
CAUSE
The Browse function in the Run dialog box defaults to the location of the most recently used item in the Open box. If this location is not available (such as when a floppy disk is removed from the drive), you are prompted to insert the missing media.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
