ACC2000: Error Message: "The HTML File That Corresponds to the Selected Data Access Page Has Been Moved, Renamed, or Deleted... " (200419)

SYMPTOMS

This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).

You may receive the following error message when you try to open a data access page:

The HTML file that corresponds to the selected data access page has been moved, renamed, or deleted from: <path>. Press locate to specify a new path, or press Cancel to cancel the operation.

CAUSE

You receive this error message when you try to open a data access page whose HTML file has been moved to a different folder, has been renamed, or has been deleted.

RESOLUTION

Refresh a Link to a Page That Has Moved

In the Database window, click the data access page that generates the error mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
Click Open. Note that you receive the error message.
Click Locate.
Browse to the current location of the HTML file. Click the file name, and then click OK.

Refresh a Link to a Page That Has Been Renamed

In the Database window, click the data access page that generates the error mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
Click Open. Note that you receive the error message.
Click Locate.
Click the new file name, and then click OK.

Delete a Link to a Page That No Longer Exists

In the Database window, click the data access page that generates the error mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
On the Edit menu, click Delete.

MORE INFORMATION

The pages that you see in the Database window are links to HTML (*.htm) files. These HTML files are not stored within the database. You can the click Start button, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders to help determine where the HTML file is located. The name of the HTML file to search for is listed in the error message.
