OLEXP: Unable to Drag Outlook Express Message to Microsoft Word (200208)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to drag an Outlook Express message to a Word document, the message may not be pasted into the Word document.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:

Method 1


  1. Drag the message to the desktop.
  2. Drag the message to the Word document.

Method 2


  1. Open the message, press CTRL+A, press CTRL+C.
  2. While the message is still open, click the Word document you want to paste your text in to, and then press CTRL+V.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
