XL2000: Comments Are Resized Unexpectedly (199529)

A comment in a worksheet cell may be resized unexpectedly so that the comment box object is only slightly visible when you rest the mouse pointer over the comment marker.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- You insert a comment into a cell.
-and-
- You increase the size of the row above the row containing the comment.
-and-
- You immediately insert a row above the row containing the comment.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
Method 1
You can manually resize the comment. To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click the cell that contains the comment, and then click Show Comment
on the menu that appears.
- Click the border of the comment. Use the resize handles that appear to resize the comment.
Method 2
To resize the comment, use the following sample Visual Basic code:
