OFF2000: OSB Buttons Move or Appear When Renamed (199371)

SYMPTOMS
When you rename a Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar (OSB) button and then click OK, the following problems may occur:
- Renamed buttons that previously appeared on the Office Shortcut Bar are moved to the end of the toolbar.
-or- - Renamed buttons that did not previously appear on the Office Shortcut
Bar, appear on the toolbar.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use the following steps:
- With the right mouse button click (right-click) Start on the taskbar and click Explore.
- Open the Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Shortcut Bar folder.
- Open the folder that contains the toolbar buttons you want to rename.
- Click the file with the name of the button to rename. On the File menu, click Rename.
- With file name selected, type the new name for the button and press
ENTER.
- Close the Windows Explorer.
The Office Shortcut Bar should display the new name for the button. If
the new name does not appear, right-click the Office Shortcut Bar, and then
click Refresh Icons.
