PUB98: How to Reset the Publisher 98 Tutorial (199259)

SUMMARY

After you click Done in the initial tutorial dialog box in Publisher 98, the tutorial dialog will not appear again. In order to reset this window to appear again you must change a value in the Windows registry.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.

1. On the Windows Start menu, click Run.
2. In the Open box, type "Regedit" (without the quotation marks).
3. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key until you see this folder:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Publisher\5.0\Preferences
4. Find the value "ShowIntroductionToPublisher" in the pane on the right. To edit it, double-click it .
5. Change the value from 1 to 0. Click OK.
6. Quit the Registry editor.
