Terminal Window Opens Before Dialing Dial-Up Networking Connection (199166)

When you dial a connection that was created using the Internet Connection Wizard and uses the "I need to log on manually" setting, a terminal window may appear before dialing instead of after.
CAUSE
Internet Connection Wizard sets the connection to open the terminal window before dialing instead of after dialing.
RESOLUTIONWindows 95 or Windows 98- Double-click My Computer.
- Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.
- Right-click the connection you want, and then click Properties.
- On the General tab, click Configure.
- Click the Options tab.
- Click to clear the "Bring up terminal window before dialing" check box.
- Check to select the "Bring up terminal window after dialing" check box.
- Click OK until you return to the Dial-Up Networking folder.
Windows NT 4.0- Double-click My Computer.
- Double-click Dial-Up Networking.
- Click the connection you want.
- Click More, and then click "Edit entry and modem properties."
- Click the Script tab.
- Click "Pop up a terminal window" in the After Dialing section.
- Click Before Dialing.
- Click None in the Before Dialing section.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
