This article was previously published under Q198326 SYMPTOMS
If you are connected to the Internet using a Dial-Up Networking
connection, you may be disconnected when you quit the program that is
using the connection. This can occur even if Microsoft Pocket Internet
Explorer is not configured to disconnect automatically.
CAUSE
This problem can occur if there is only one Internet-aware program running
on your Windows CE device. The Auto Disconnect feature in Pocket Internet
Explorer is used only when there are at least two Internet-aware programs
running simultaneously.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, keep at least one additional Internet-aware
program (such as Microsoft Pocket Outlook) running on your Windows CE
device. This prevents the connection from being disconnected when you quit
another Internet-aware program.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
