The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word 97 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q198310 SYMPTOMS
When you create an HTML title for a Web page document and then you save,
close, and re-open the document, the HTML title is displayed in the
document title bar instead of the document file name.
To create an HTML title in Word:
- On the File menu, click Properties.
- In the Title box, type the HTML title.
- Click OK.
CAUSE
By design, if there is a <TITLE> tag in your HTML document, Word makes the
title of the document window the same as the HTML title.
