PUB2000: Errors When Ripping PS files to RIP (198230)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q198230 SUMMARY
When Ripping a Publisher PostScript output file to certain imagesetters,
imagesetter applications, and certain impositioning software, you may
receive some offending command errors. The errors received may vary, but
the reasons for the errors are usually the same.
Within all PostScript Drivers, there is a setting field called PostScript
Output format. By default this field is set as PostScript (Optimized for
Speed). This particular setting produces unrecognizable entries in the
postscript file. To avoid unnecessary errors, it is best to change this
setting from PostScript (Optimized for Speed) to PostScript (Optimize for
portability - ADSC).
