SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft Works, the thesaurus may not find any synonyms or suggested words.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you install Works 4.5a on a computer on which Microsoft Word 97 and the Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR2) update are already installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall the Office 97 SR2 update. The Office 97 SR2 update is available for download from the following Microsoft Web site:

http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/9798/sr2fact.aspx
