MS-DOS-Based Program's Always Suspend Check Box Always Selected (198140)

When you press ALT+TAB to minimize an MS-DOS-based program, and then view
the Misc tab in the program's Properties dialog box, the Always Suspend
check box may be selected. This behavior may occur even if you have
previously clicked the Always Suspend check box to clear it.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you are using a Logitech mouse driver version that
is earlier than version 8.0.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, update your Logitech mouse driver to version 8.0 or
later. For information about how to do so, contact Logitech, or view the
documentation included with your mouse.
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:
Method 1
Change to a standard mouse driver or a Microsoft mouse driver. To do so,
use the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then
double-click System.
- Click the Device Manager tab, double-click the Mouse branch to expand
it, click your mouse, and then click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, click Next, click "Display a
list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the
driver you want", and then click Show All Hardware.
- Under Manufacturers, click Standard Mouse Types, and then click
Standard PS/2 Port Mouse under Models.
- Click Next, click Yes, click Next, click Finish, and then restart your
computer.
Method 2
Configure your program to run in a maximized window. To do so, use the
following steps:
- Right-click the shortcut to your MS-DOS-based program, and then click
Properties.
- Click the Screen tab, and then click Window under Usage.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
