This article was previously published under Q197746 SYMPTOMS
When you insert a file into an e-mail message, Microsoft Outlook
may place the file as an attachment in a separate pane at the bottom of the
message rather than inline at the insertion point.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design when you use either HTML or Plain Text for your
default e-mail format.
RESOLUTION
To place the attachment inline in the message, use Microsoft Outlook
Rich Text (RTF) as your default e-mail format.
