SYMPTOMS

When you use the AutoForm: Datasheet Wizard to create a new Datasheet form, the background of the form in Design view is different from what you expect.

CAUSE

The AutoForm Wizards (AutoForm: Columnar, AutoForm: Tabular, and AutoForm: Datasheet) always default to the last style that you used when you used the Form Wizard to create a form (or the last style that you selected in the AutoFormat dialog box). This will not affect how the form appears in Datasheet view.

RESOLUTION

If you want to have your form displayed in a different style, in Design view of the form, modify the style by clicking AutoFormat on the Format menu, and then changing the style in the AutoFormat dialog box.

MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Open the sample database Northwind.mdb.
  2. Use the AutoForm: Datasheet Wizard to create a new form based on the Customers table.
  3. View the resulting form in Design view.

The background of the form will be the same background that you used the last time that you used the Form Wizard to create a form.
