WD2000: Graphic Inserted in Table Not Anchored in or Bounded by Cell (197370)

SYMPTOMS

Graphics inserted into a table cell may not anchor to a paragraph inside the table cell and be bounded by the cell.

Other new features in Word 2000 also may not work as expected.

CAUSE

The Disable features not supported by Word 97 option may be selected. This new option was included to force backward compatibility with the earlier version of Word if needed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, do the following:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Save tab and clear the Disable features not supported by Word 97 check box.
