When you use Microsoft Word to create an envelope or a label, and you
select the name for the delivery address from your Microsoft Outlook
Contacts, you do not have the option to choose which address is used.
NOTE: This behavior also occurs when you use the Recipient Information tab
in the Letter Wizard and the Insert Address command or button on a toolbar.
CAUSE
Word requires a fully compliant Messaging Application Programming Interface
(MAPI) address book. The Internet Mail installation option of Outlook
is not a fully compliant MAPI client.
NOTE: Only Microsoft Word 97 and Word 2000 have converters that recognizes the Outlook Address Book. Neither earlier versions of Microsoft Word nor other word processing programs are able to use the Outlook Contacts.
