This article was previously published under Q197269

SYMPTOMS

The day of an appointment may not be bold in the Day/Week/Month view of the Calendar.

CAUSE

The value of the Show Time As field in the appointment record is set to Free.

RESOLUTION

To make the day of an appointment on bold the calendar, select something other than Free in the Show Time As list. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In the appointment record, click to select Tentative, Busy, or Out Of Office in the Show Time As list.
  2. Save and close the appointment.

MORE INFORMATION

By default, Outlooks sets the Show Time As value to Free if you select All Day Event in the appointment record.

If you open a new appointment by double-clicking the Date Header over the appointment time list in the Day/Week/Month view, the new appointment record opens with All Day Event selected and Show Time As set to Free by default.

In either of these situations, the day of the appointment in the calendar is not bold.
