STATUS_REPARSE with Trashed FileObject->Name Returned to Mup.sys (197188)

SYMPTOMS

The Inoculan filter driver may return a STATUS_REPARSE to Mup.sys and trash the FileObject name at the same time.

CAUSE

Mup.sys was not checking a returned status code, which resulted in the bugcheck.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
