PRJ98: Double-Click External Task Doesn't Select the Source Task (197100)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q197100 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, if you double-click an external task, the source
project of the external task becomes active, but the task is not selected
in the source project.
NOTE: An external task is a task that represents the linked task in another project.
CAUSE
When you double-click an external task, Microsoft Project does not select
the task in the source project; it only activates the project. This
behavior is by design.
