TC1000: Information Missing from Device Button Screens (196915)

When you add a device to the Take Control System Controller (TC1000),
information may be missing from the button screens for the device.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use the infrared codes from the TC1000
database.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods.
Use the Relearn Feature of the Take Control Editor
To use the Relearn feature of the Take Control Editor to add infrared
codes for the device to the TC1000, follow these steps:
- Locate the original remote control for the device.
- Start the Take Control Editor.
- Under Setup, click Devices.
- Click the device, and then click Edit.
- In the Button list, click the appropriate button.
- Click Relearn, and then follow the instructions on the screen to add
infrared codes for the device to the TC1000.
Create an Activity to Control the Device
To create an activity to control the device, follow these steps:
- Start Take Control Editor.
- Click Add New Activity.
- Type a name for the new activity, and then click OK.
- Click Edit Activity Screen.
- In the Select Source box, click the device you want to configure.
- Configure the new activity to control the device.
- Click Done, and then click Done again.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Take Control Editor,
version 1.0.
