SYMPTOMS

When you configure multiple e-mail accounts in Microsoft Outlook 2000 Internet Mail Only (IMO) installation, there is no method available to schedule different connection times for each account.

MORE INFORMATION

With the Internet Mail Only installation of Outlook, you can configure multiple e-mail accounts in the same profile. However, Outlook does not provide a method of configuring different connection schedules for each account. You can only configure one schedule for all e-mail connections.

To access the connection schedule setting, follow these steps:

  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click the Mail Delivery tab.
  4. Click to select the "Check for new messages every <number> minutes" check box.
  5. Type the number of minutes for the interval you want the program to wait between checking for your Internet Mail.
  6. Click Apply and OK to make your settings active.
