FP2000: Hover Button Doesn't Inherit Target Frame of Current Page (196476)

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a hover button on a page, it does not inherit the default target frame settings of the current page.

CAUSE

The hover button property does not reflect the actual default target setting of the page.

RESOLUTION

Set the target frame of the hover button to something other than the page default. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the frames page in Page view.
  2. Right-click the hover button, and then click Hover Button Properties on the shortcut menu.
  3. Click Browse.
  4. Click Target Frame.
  5. In the Target Frame dialog box, select the frameset you want to link to from the Common targets list and then click OK.
  6. Click OK.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
