Err Msg: ODBC Error - The Data Source Name (DSN) May be Incorrect (196444)

When Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.0 SP1, included in the
Windows NT 4.0 SP4, is installed on a Proxy Server 2.0 computer, ODBC
logging can no longer be configured. An attempt to do so causes the
following error to occur, even though the supplied parameters are correct.
ODBC Error - The Data Source Name (DSN) may be incorrect
CAUSE
The Proxy Server 2.0 Mspadmin.exe component does not correctly check the
return value of some low-level ODBC API calls.
RESOLUTION
This problem is resolved in Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). For more information about Service Pack 1, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
