After the introduction to a lesson has finished loading, the entire desktop may begin to flash repeatedly.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs in the following situations: - On some laptop computers, this behavior occurs if the color palette is set to 256 colors (or 8-bit color depth.)
- On some laptop computers, this behavior occurs if you have the beta
version of the Microsoft Windows Media Player version 2.1 installed.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon.
- In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
- Make sure that the Color Palette is set to 65536 colors or higher.
- Click OK.
- In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Search for the Media Player 2.1 Beta option in the list of installed
programs.
- If the Media Player 2.1 Beta option exists, select it, and then click Add/Remove. Follow any prompts you see on the screen to remove this program.
- Close Control Panel.
