This article was previously published under Q196337

SUMMARY

Military time uses a format based on 24 hours rather than 12. Time occurring after 12:59 P.M. does not restart at 1:00, but continues through 23:59. For example, 1:00 P.M. is displayed as 13:00 in this format.

MORE INFORMATION

Outlook inherits the time format from the Windows operating system. To set the Calendar in Outlook to Military time, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Regional Settings icon.
  3. Click the Time tab.
  4. In the Time Style list, click the format HH:mm:ss, and then click OK.
  5. Close Control Panel.
The times in the Calendar will now be displayed in the 24-hour format.
