SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to use Outlook Express for UNIX to gain access to an Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) folder whose name contains extended ASCII characters, you may receive an error message or a core dump.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use Outlook Express for Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT, or a third-party mail program to rename the folder so that its name does not contain extended characters.
