SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to import or export address book entries using Outlook Express, the Text File (Comma Separated Values) option is not available.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because 16-bit versions of Outlook Express do not support importing or exporting address book entries using comma separated values (.csv) files.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

The "Importing Address Books" and "Exporting Address Books" topics in Outlook Express Help incorrectly state that you can import and export .csv files.
