SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Call Manager to record a phone message, a copy of the message remains in the Temp folder on your hard disk.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occuring, download and install the Amupgrde.exe file from the Microsoft Download Center.

To delete Call Manager temporary files from your hard disk, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.
  2. In the Named box, type ~am*.tmp, and then click Find Now.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
  4. On the File menu, click Delete. If you are prompted to confirm the multiple file deletion, click Yes.
  5. Close the Find: Files Named ~am*.tmp window.
