SBS: Some Recipient Information Not Available for Cover Pages (195743)

SYMPTOMS

Extended recipient information, such as business info address and so on, that is filled in when creating a fax address book entry is not used by the cover page editor. This happens even if those fields were imported from a cover page designed with the Windows 95 cover page editor, which allows the use of these fields.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

When you create a Fax address item in the personal address book, you can add information on various tabs, such as the following:

Business tab
First and Last Name, address Title, Company, and so on

Phone Numbers tab
Business, Fax, Mobile, and so on

Notes tab
general notes

Fax-Address tab
Fax Recipient, Country, Area Code, and Fax number

However, when you try to create a cover page using the fax cover page editor and click the Insert menu, you can only use name and fax number for recipient information.

If you import and convert a cover page created with the Windows 95 cover page editor, with the appropriate fields already in place, the fields will not be populated when sending the fax.
