The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

This article was previously published under Q195560

SYMPTOMS

The amount of space between lines of text copied from another program appears differently when pasted into your Microsoft Outlook 2000 HTML mail message.

CAUSE

The HTML paragraph style is automatically applied to text pasted into an HTML message. Pasting text created in Microsoft Word will exhibit this behavior. It does not occur with text pasted from Notepad. Word can create text with an attached style, while Notepad cannot.

RESOLUTION

To adjust the line spacing, follow these steps:

  1. Select the text you wish to adjust.
  2. On the Format menu, click Style and then click Normal.
