TC1000: Controller Does Not Adjust Device Settings Properly (195424)

When you attempt to use the selector wheel or the Volume buttons on the
Take Control System Controller (TC1000) to adjust settings for a device,
you may experience either of the following symptoms:
- You may be unable to select channels properly when you use the
selector wheel.
- You may be unable to adjust the volume properly when you use the
Volume buttons.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use the infrared codes from the TC1000
database.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the Relearn feature of the Take Control
Editor to add infrared codes for the device to the TC1000. To do this,
follow these steps:
- Locate the original remote control for the device.
- Start the Take Control Editor.
- Under Setup, click Devices.
- Click the device, and then click Edit.
- In the Button list, click the appropriate button.
- Click Relearn, and then follow the instructions on the screen to add
infrared codes for the device to the TC1000.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Take Control Editor,
version 1.0.
