PRJ98: ODBC Error Saving Changes to Project in Database (195158)

In Microsoft Project 98, when you save changes to a project that you opened
from a database via ODBC, you may receive the following error message:
There is an ODBC error accessing the database.
The following error was returned by the ODBC driver:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection Failure
To display the SQL statement that resulted in this error, click
View SQL.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when both of the following conditions are true:
- The database to which you saved the project is accessed via a
network using ODBC.
- The network connection to the database is lost while working in
Microsoft Project.
NOTE: This behavior may occur even if the network connection is restored.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Save As and save your project
to your local hard disk.
- On the File menu, click Exit.
- Restart Microsoft Project.
- On the File menu, click Open.
- Select the project you saved in step 1 and click Open.
- On the File menu, click Save As and click ODBC.
Select the database to which you want to save your project. When
prompted to overwrite your database, click Overwrite.
