PUB98: Special Papers Disappear When Page Setup Changes (195101)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Publisher 98

This article was previously published under Q195101

SYMPTOMS

Publications that were designed to use the Special Paper formatting may lose their Special Paper format.

CAUSE

This formatting can be lost if the page size is changed or the orientation of the publication is changed.

RESOLUTION

When the orientation of your publication changes, you must reapply the Special Paper Preview. If the size of your publication has changed to a size that is not supported by the Special Papers, the Special Papers option will be disabled, and will be unselectable.

To reapply the Special Paper preview, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, click Special Papers.
  2. Make the desired selection from the list, and click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
