Share Button and Share Application Command Are Unavailable (194984)

This article was previously published under Q194984 SYMPTOMS When you attempt to share a program in NetMeeting, the
Share button on the toolbar and the Share
Application command on the Tools menu may be
unavailable.
CAUSE This problem can occur if any double-byte character set
(DBCS) fonts are installed. NetMeeting does not support DBCS fonts.
RESOLUTION To work around this problem, uninstall all DBCS fonts, and
then verify that the fonts are removed from the Windows\Fonts folder. It may be
necessary to manually delete the DBCS fonts from the Fonts folder.
For information about how to delete files, click Start, click
Help, click the Index tab, type
delete, and then double-click the Files Or
Folders (in Microsoft Windows 95) or Deleting Files,
Folders (in Windows 98) topic. STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft
NetMeeting version 2.1. MORE INFORMATION DBCS fonts are usually indicative of Japanese or Chinese
character sets.
