PRJ98: Error Message When Renaming Calendar Named Standard (194969)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you rename the Standard calendar, you receive one of the following error messages, depending on where you change the name.

When You Rename the Calendar on the Calendars Tab in the Organizer

The Standard calendar cannot be deleted or renamed.

Microsoft Project cannot delete the Standard Calendar, upon which other calendars are based.

When You Rename the Calendar in a Visual Basic for Applications Procedure

Run-time error '1101':

The argument value is not valid.

Check that the value is correct and that it is the correct type for the argument.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Standard calendar cannot be renamed.

If you want the project calendar to use a name other than Standard, create a new base calendar with the name you want and use that new base calendar as the project calendar.
